I am Elena — maker, dreamer, and the hands behind every piece at GreatNikonova. What began as a quiet hobby many years ago has grown into a deep, abiding love for the art of bead crochet jewellery.
The hands behind GreatNikonova
Each bracelet I create is born from creative inspiration, a passion for beauty, and a commitment to using only the finest materials. I design jewellery for women and men — pieces intended to feel like a personal talisman, something that reflects who you are and how you feel.
I am an emigrant, creating from a new home, far from where most of my tools once lived. That distance has only deepened my connection to this craft — it is my constant, my comfort, and my joy.
How every piece is made
01 — The design
Every piece begins with a sketch and a colour story. I draw inspiration from nature, geometry and the world around me — then translate that into a bead pattern, counting every row with care.
02 — The threading
Hundreds of tiny seed beads are threaded onto a single strand, one by one, in a precise order. This stage requires absolute focus and patience. One bead out of place changes everything.
03 — The crocheting
Using a fine crochet hook — as small as 0.65mm — I knit the beads into a tube, row by row in a continuous spiral. Twelve beads per circle, stitch by stitch, until the pattern emerges.
04 — The finishing
Each bracelet is finished with a magnetic clasp, carefully chosen to complement the colours of the piece. No two are ever exactly alike — and that is exactly the point.
